We’re back with some more hints and tips for you and your online presence. Last time, we said that the social media side of things has to be up to scratch, so this time we’re going to go a little deeper into that.
What social medias are you using? Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Vero, Pinterest, Tumblr, Google +, Snapchat, LinkedIn…there are heaps. But you need to figure out which ones are worth it. If you aren’t using any, then you need to start!
Facebook is the obvious all-rounder choice, Instagram is very visual, Twitter is for current streams of information and discussion while LinkedIn is more personal, professional connections.
No matter what platform you are using, the right setup is necessary. For example, on Facebook you can customise what tabs your page has and you can even set up buttons to message or call you. Links back to your website and newsletter signups are both possible so dive into your settings and start customising!
Make sure you use eye-catching images that represent your brand properly. All posts that use images spark a lot more engagement than those just-text posts. If you want to boost engagement even more then you should look at using some video!
Most social medias offer a comprehensive advertising platform so make sure you have a good look through the rules and settings before boosting or promoting anything. You can fine-tune the targeting so your ad will only appear to the people you want it to. Try running a competition!
If keeping on top of your social media is difficult (which it can be), you should look into services like Hootsuite which you can use to schedule posts for up to 3 social medias simultaneously (in the free version).
